i have an chance....but quite honestly im scared -

Well im brand new to this site and i need some help :/
so im a 17 (almost 18) year old guy. my name is Ahmed, im Moroccan/Afghan but not a FOB, im a great speaker and if you met me you would have no idea i speak 4 languages fluently because i have NO accent (English, French, Farsi, Arabic). Ever since i was in 2nd grade ive wanted to be an actor, i love making people smile and putting on a show and i have been told by many that i would be awesome at it. im the kinda guy that should have a camera team following him around cause my life would make the best show. i want it so much that i would PAY to be on anything on TV (gimme a commercial for genital herpes medication, im your man! lol). So the problem is that i havent auditioned at a talent agency or anything because of my fear of rejection. It isnt the fear that i am not as good as i think, but because im pretty damn fat... im 5'7" and [edit] lbs. im athletic for someone of my size and id like to think im nice looking. SOOOOOO i just received a letter in the mail that had information on acting auditions that will be held on 9/11/2011, sad day for the country. on the letter there were pictures of a bunch of succesful kids 3 months old to adults, not one of them overweight...having a legit acting career would be enough motivation for me to lose the weight, my question is, should i go for it? sorry its so long hahahahaha |

First, welcome to Teen Help
 Second, you should definitely go for it! Several actors and actresses don't have what society considers a 'perfect body.' You don't need to be perfect to be an actor, as long as you have talent then you definitely have a shot. Good luck in your audition

If you want to go for it, go for it! They have actors of all sizes these days.
