Update for "scared to be in my home" - December 7th 2015, 03:21 PM

So I have to start a new thread since the thread that I already started is now closed. So for those of you who have read my post titled "scared to be in my home" I mention my cousins being mean to me. We'll now they're gone. They both left last month in the same week. One moved out on the 8th. The other one got escorted by the police on the 14th(the day after my birthday). Its such a relieve to have them out of my home but the abuse still upsets me.

I'm so glad your cousins are no longer around you! It will be a lot easier for you to work through your abuse since they're no longer around.

Abuse has a lasting impact so I understand why it still bothers you. Is counseling an option for you? If it is, I definitely think you should take advantage of it. Regardless of whether or not it is an option, try to focus on getting everything out right now. It helps to do that and document the memories because they will no longer hold power over you if they're not stuck in your head. Talk to someone you trust, journal or blog about the memories, scream about them or talk about them out loud, write poems or draw pictures. Do what you have to do to get all of your abuse memories out. Try not to keep it inside. Once you've worked on getting the memories out of your system, you can figure out how they make you feel and you can go from there.

I'll try that. Thanks Cassie!
