Unhappy Help pleasee - May 21st 2009, 12:54 AM

The most i could do was file a report against the guy who molested me because there wasn't really any real evidence to proove that he did it. My ex- girlfriend and i just broke up but we've been talking about getting back together but the only reason she won't date me is because she's too worried that he'll do it again to me because he lives near me and hangs around my house a lot. She also thinks that when she kisses me shes only going to think about him doing the same thing in the same spot. I don't really know how to get her to get over these feelings and I really want her to because i want to go back out with her. I've never really liked anybody else this much before and it seems like my molester takes everything good that happens to me away... What do I do??

Hey Victoria,

First off, welcome to the site! It's always nice to have a new user. I think you'll find we are very friendly.I hope you can settle in easily, if not, don't be shy to ask anyone for help, including me. On another note, dating after any type of abuse is a very difficult thing to do. Especially if you haven't had any form of therapy or closure involving the actions. You should be very proud of yourself. Reporting something like this is difficult. You should be proud of facing your fears.

As for your potential girlfriend, maybe you should discuss the molestation with her. To be honest, it's something that serious couples should discuss. Why? Because it can affect how you act or feel around certain people. Example; I'm very shy around all boys. I can understand where your potential girlfriend is coming from, but the molestation isn't you. It's an event that will be an obstacle to get over, but it doesn't define you at all. I really think you should talk to her and let her know how much that hurts. If she's your friend, she'll be supportive no matter what.

Baby stand tall. You can have it all.

Don't you worry your pretty little mind, people throw rocks at things that shine..
