Self Respect
I just relized I don't have any self respect/estemm. I believe what people have done to me is right. I believe what people say to me is true. Well deep down I know it's not true but I'm feeling right now like I deserve everything that has happenend to me. Maybe i'm just a bad person. I don't know. Is there any way to convince myself i'm worth being treated with some kind of respect?

Re: Self Respect
The way I convinced myself this was by telling myself everyday. And being around people who did and still do treat me with respect. If all you hear every day is that you arent worth it then that is what you will believe. If you are around people that treat you well and with the respect you deserve then sooner or latter you will end up believing them. :)

Re: Self Respect
people say and do things to other people they dont mean, they are the ones with terrible self esteem and respect issues but theyre afraid to show it so they put other people down to make themselves feel more "powerful" and respected. dont take ANYTHING negative people say personally, odds are they dont even know you. put yourself around good people who will say positive things about/to you. when you do you will find yourself being soo much happier! good luck =]

Re: Self Respect
give yourself positive messages. Several times a day, like when waiting or walking along say to yourself:

I am good

I am a valuable person

I'm as good as everyone else

I'm smart and attractive and I'm not going to accept any bad messages from people.
