The Positivity Thread - October 14th 2009, 11:46 AM

We all have bad days and negative thoughts when we think about the Rape or Abuse we suffered. But we are strong We hold ourselves together and continue to hold our heads up high. We deserve to be happy, and no-one is going to bring us down!

In this thread, I'm hoping people will write something positive about themselves, whether it be how you felt when you overcame your abuse, or when you showed the people that hurt you that they didn't win, that they didn't break you.

I will start, and hopefully we can make a large thread, full of positivity!

After I was raped, I fell apart. But after help, I realised that the man who hurt me no longer had power over me. I was stronger than him and I am still a strong woman.
I can make it through anything, because I believe in myself.

This is wonderful What I think we all need to remind ourselves is that no matter how hurt we are, how damaged we feel, we all did the most important thing: we survived. We're fabulous.

"Do not ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
