Nightmares returned - December 14th 2009, 07:06 PM

Ok so in May I was molested by a boy on a coach back home after a 4 day school trip to Normandy.
I reported it....nothing was done....I was left unable to cope.
Well he has molested another girl since
She reported it
Nothing has been done
She isnt coping well
He is still in school
Giving me and the other girl purvey looks and beening verbally abusive
Since the other girl reported it and turned to me for help the nightmares have returned....This nightmare consists of me reliving the events leading up to him molesting me and him molesting me and the aftermath. It is really unpleasent and has meant that Im going to bed later to try and stop myself having this nightmare....Then when I wake from the nightmare I cant sleep again
This has left me really tired and school work is being affective
And because Im sooo tired urges to SH are harder to beat.
HELP

Hey There =]

I'm really sorry to hear about what you and this other girl have gone through. I know the feeling. I also understand how it feels when no-one listens to you. We on TH are here to listen though xD

Have you spoken to your parents about this? I'm guessing you have?
I think that it is something you should talk to them about again/ or for the first time. Explain about these nightmares. They won't be angry at you - they will respect the fact that you feel you can talk to them.

I think, for something physiological like this seeking professional help may be the best option for you. If you can't talk to your parents about this, then I would certainly advise going and speaking to a teacher or the school councillor. There are plenty of people in this world willing to listen - don't let your previous attempts knock you down!!!

Also, keep friends around you and try and have some good times =]
Don't eat high fat foods like chocolate before bed as these can also trigger nightmares. Reading can also help calm the mind before sleeping.

Take Care Liz, If you ever need a chat just shout =]

I'm still alive.
Must have been a miracle
It's been one hell of a ride
Destination still unkown
It's a fact of life: If you make one wrong move with a gun to your head
You better walk the line or you'll be left for dead.

I'm a runaway train on a broken track
I'm the ticker on the bomb that you can't turn back
Thats right.
I got away with it all and I'm still alive.
Let the end of the world come tumbling down.
I'll be the last man standing on the ground
As long as hot blood runs through my veins
I'm still alive.

Hey there,

Nightmares are no fun, and they can be quite painful some times. I have found that the only way to make the nightmares go away is to talk about it. You and this other girl have each other for support, maybe you two could try talking about it?

Have you told your parents? Talk to them, they will understand. As for reporting it and nothing happening, I can relate to that feeling, and it doesn't feel good. However, maybe you and this girl can go to your school counselor, if your school has one, or your head of year, and tell them that this boy is leering at both of you, and that he had already hurt both of you. They might be able to do something, especially if you report it together.

If you need anything, feel free to pm me.
