Stalked? - February 25th 2010, 02:50 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I'm not sure if this could be triggering or not, so I marked it. And I am also not sure if this is in the correct place, so feel free to move it.

So, today... Well, it started by me giving a friend my cell phone number at school. So he set me 41 texts in the past day. All asking me to go out with him and stuff. I just told him I am not interested and I already kind of have a boyfriend. Well, sure enough, he gets ahold of my house phone number, and calls that 800 million times a day. He's even showed up to my house on more than one occasion. I told him to stop contacting me, but it didn't work. Now keep in mind, this is just a friend from elementary school, and we've never dated or anything. So I don't know. He just constantly follows me at school, and it's starting to creep me out. I walk with friends all the time now, especially after school, and it doesn't help that he rides my bus to school (when I don't have another ride). Yeah, so it this like, normal???
Is this stalking or what? Any help is much appreciated.

I love : )

He might just really like you, still weird what hes doing but yeah he obviously doesnt get the message. If he threatens you then its time to panic!
It could be the beginning of stalking though, it looks like he may be obsessed, what was he like before he got your number?

Hey there,

It definitely doesn't seem normal. Like Dan said, he might just really like you. I honestly think though that he may be taking this too far. I would have some stern words with him, and let him know that you dislike this. If he doesn't listen, then you really need to take it to the next level and change your cell phone number, or just pay to have his number blocked. Someone has done this to me before. It stopped eventually but I had to deal with it for a week.

Another thing you could try is just ignore him, don't reply to his texts, don't answer the phone if he calls. It will be hard but it may work

Good luck

And I will take you in my arms, and hold you right where you belong.

Hey there,

So your best bet is to try and ignore him. He may just really like you, but try ignoring his calls and don't reply to his texts. I know it sounds mean to ignore him, but that might be the only way to get him to stop.

If he keeps going, you might want to tell an adult, like a parent or the school counselor. They can help, and you can change your phone number to get him to stop. You might also want to tell him to stop, that you really just don't like him like that. Be careful who you give your number out to in the future!

Take care, and feel free to pm me, if you need anything.
