I have a black eye and I need some good excuses to how it happened. I would really appreciate help!

Honestly, the truth would be a good thing to tell her. There is no point in covering up for someone who abuses you. You need to tell an adult, go to the police, and get out of that relationship. Someone who loved you would never hurt you like that.

I honestly can't tell her the truth! I've already had previous black eyes and other bruises on my body. When she found them I just told her that I did it to myself and she sent me to the hospital and I got stuck in the Psychiatric Ward for 9 days. If I told her the truth my whole family would be messed up and I really don't want to get anyone in trouble.

If you are getting beaten up by someone in your family, then your family is already messed up. Telling someone puts everyone on the path to recovery and will fix the problem, not make it worse. You shouldn't cover up for someone who doesn't care enough about you to not hurt you. Telling your mother the truth is the best thing to do.

I honestly think you should be honest. Telling lies to cover up for people, makes it worse and more complicated. You can help yourself get out of this situation if you just tell the truth. I urge you to tell your mum the truth. You owe it to yourself, to get yourself out this situation. You can do it, we believe in you.

If you ever need anything at all, feel free to message me.

But I also know for sure that she would not believe me if I told her who was doing it. She would just think that I was doing it to myself and would get really pissed at me. that's why I just need to say that it was an accident but also be believable.

Hey.

You do not know for sure that your mum won't believe you. Telling her the truth would be the best thing to do considering. If you're worried about her not believing you, you should consider telling somebody else about this so that they could help you explain things to her. It's not fair that you're having to endure this abuse. If you told her, she'd be able to help you put an end to it.

Good luck. You are always welcome to message me if you need a chat.

If you think your mum wouldn't believe you, you could try telling someone else that you trust, like another family member or teacher etc. You have to tell someone. If you feel you couldn't tell someone in person, you could try writing them a letter or email, that way it is less confronting for you.

Red face Re: What should I tell my mom? - May 12th 2010, 03:04 AM

Hey
I think that you should not just lie all the time when you're hurting and suffering like this. It breaks my heart to know that someone in this world is being hurt by someone they know well, for no reason??? (it seems) I don't think this is right. You should tell the truth, BUT by doing so, you need proof, some kind of evidence that the person did this to you. Ohterwise, your mom would believe you then, right? I'm not sure how to get it, but I suggest having someone as a witness, or catching the act when your mom "accidentally" walks in on the act....but whatever happens, God is here for you, I'm here for you, if you're hurt then know at least that you're not alone. I know that many other people have the same experience as you do, but I'm with you all the way. May God bless you, and I hope that your abusing days are over. I know that evil will be banished and the good shall come to your aid. *hugs*
I'm praying for you everyday.
Love, Stephanie <3

So I won't tell you how to hide the bruises, I could but I won't. You see, I hid the bruises for quite a while, made up excuses, lied about where they came from. In the end that didn't help me, it just caused more problems. Lying about the problem doesn't make it go away. Talk to someone you trust, a teacher or a friend's parent. But don't let this keep going on.
