so my brother used to hit me alot, i ended up getting knocked out a few times, bruised, strangled he held a knife up to my neck as well and i was dam scared of him.
but he hasnt hit me in like 2 months now, and the really cool thing is that we are actually really close now. i mean he said he would kick anyones ass if they hurt me, he gave me alot of hugs wen i was crying. he has changed, and i am happy he is better so now i can move on in my life. there is allways hope even when things are looking down, just keep you head up, remember you are beautiful and you can make it. i am glad that he isnt hurting anymore and that he has change. it is for your good and it looks like you two are getting along now even after what he has done to you and i think that an older brother is suppost be there when there sister needs them.

hmmm well i thought he was getting better,
 he didnt hit me maybe he just being a brother/ dad but he all like "do you want me to crack ur head" because i asked him to say please! gah!!! im still kinda scared of him

Great news. I want to say that you should be cautious since my abuser might relapse. But over all I am really happy that you brother (might) saw his error in his ways and is trying to correct them. Maybe he has found coping skills that work or if he feels angry try to help him find a coping skill that is help.
I hope everything goes well, and best of luck. (Also I am extremely happy and excited for you and the change that has come your way!) --
