Songs of Abuse -

Hey guys,
I have to do a presentation at my school about the long term affects of child abuse on teens. I was asked to sing a song but before I could think of a song I realized, I don't know any songs that are about abuse. This may not fit into this category but I figured since it is about abuse it could go here. If any of you have a song that really speaks to you about your abusive past, that would be awesome. Thanks so much, Jenny |

Alyssa Lies by Jason Michael Carroll
Concrete Angel by Sarah Martina Mcbride Nice, Naive and Beautiful by Plumb Everthing I see seems to be a lie. And everything you see in me you think is the truth. But, really all you see is what I'm masking the real me with. You never see me cry. Because I'll never let you. And you'll never see me die because I feel like I already have in a way.

Hey - I found this list on google, some songs categorized by the type of abuse. Might be worth checking out.
![]() Martina McBride has a few songs about abuse.. I absolutely love "Concrete Angel" and there's also "Independence Day" and "A Broken Wing." Hope this helps! how could anyone ever tell you, you are anything less than beautiful?| PM Me self-harm free since 06.10.11. |

Concrete Angel, I feel would be a good representation of how the world sees the abuse in general but not really understanding the effects of abuse an how sometimes it goes unnoticed until it's to late to do anything or help save them!!!!!!
It also shows the song the after effects of a death related to abuse ESP with young people an how for so long with abuse the victims hide there suffering an attempt to put on mask a tough mask to help them through it and when they try to reach out for help how there cries for help go unnoticed till it's to late it's a song that I hold dear |
