I was being molested for a couple months by a guy I was living with, and a friend of mine and my boyfriend knew, but I made them not tell anyone. Then I went to a camp for a week, and I broke down Thursday because he hurt a couple of my friends, and it kind of opened old wounds, you know? Well a lady that is basically like my second mom saw me, and I finally told her about it. Now I'm going to meet with him, his mom, me, my mom, and a minister from his church. But I'm kind of emotionless right now, I guess I'm still in shock.

I just hope he doesn't just get a slap on the wrist..

I don't know if by this time you have met with him already. But anyway. Don't live with him anymore. And why didn't you tell somebody who could help you before?? At least now it's all out, so that's a good thing. Remember, no guy has any right to take advantage of you. No one. it doesn't matter how long you've known each other. what matters is that he doesn't touch you when you don't want him to. if you need, you must get counseling, just to help you get back on the right track. and read self-help books. if you go to school, then don't drop out. school will help take your mind off things. remember, happiness is a state of mind. you can get past everything by being positive.
what that guy did was absolutely wrong, and in my head he deserves to die. i have no idea what treatment he's going to get, but it better not be easy on him.

No, the meeting's tonight. And I haven't lived with him for a little bit now, my mom moved us to a motel while I was at a camp before I got back.
And I didn't tell someone before because I felt ashamed, and disgusting. I hated to talk about it, or even think about it because all the feelings and emotions come back up when I'm talking about it, and I feel dirtied. And I didn't think anyone would believe me, so I didn't feel like I could tell anyone.

It went pretty good, I thought. Even though I looked down most of the time because I could feel him staring daggers at me, whenever I spoke to someone I looked them straight in the eye, and I cried a few times. Which I don't cry, so that's a pretty good indication I'm telling the truth. And I have torn underwear, which is a pretty heavy piece of physical evidence.

I'm pretty sure one of the two ministers believed me, but I'm not positive about the other. There's another meeting next week to "discuss their decision". Fabulous.

Nika, you convinced two ministers out of three. that's really good. and maybe the third guy didnt look convinced but he was. i'm sorry about the torn underwear. your experience must have been extremely bad. tell me how the next meeting goes too. you know, despite any decision the ministers make, atleast you'll have your mom with you. that is a lot of support. and more than anything, you and he both know what happened. in truth. in reality. he'll get his just desserts for sure.

Hey Nika,

I am SO proud of you for telling someone. Now that you have told someone, appropriate action can be taken to punish the abusers. Your such a strong girl to be able open up about what happened. I'm glad that two of the ministers believed you. I hope the other one did as well. I wish you lots of luck with their decision next week and I hope that they make the right decision. Keep your head up and stay strong. Once again, I'm so proud of you.

There's nothing more anyone could have asked from you. I'm so proud of you for speaking up - I know it must have been much harder than I can imagine. Even if that last minister wasn't completely convinced, you still have the others' support. And you know there is always support for you here. So keep your chin up, and fight through this. You're already strong, hun. You can get through this.

nika, i just wanted to put it out there that i'm so proud of you for speaking up. i was raped at the age of 10 and molested until i moved away when i was 12 years old. it took me until i was 16 to finally tell someone. with that said, i'm gonna repeat myself and say how proud i am of you. stay strong and never give up hope. take care, brittany x
