Supposedly, being too warm while you're sleeping can trigger nightmares.

Hi there :-) I have nightmares because of my PTSD and I see a counselor for it. Is that at all possible? Talking about your nightmares and even what's happened to you can be really helpful. They'll teach you techniques on how to relax at night so you can sleep soundly. Some things I've learned, that help me, are; taking a warm shower/bath before bed, reading a book (without electronics around), talking to someone before bed, and of course; breathing techniques. There are probably so many more ideas but I'm not entirely sure about every single one. I hope you find the answers you're looking for and your nightmares ease up. Take care, Brittany

I sleep with a secure/safety object like a teddy bear and that helps me. Have you tried that. Also there are a few exercise like mindfulness and distraction techniques that you can use in the moment to get yourself grounded when you awake from a nightmare.

I read that the room being too cold can trigger nightmares.
![]() I would advise just talking to somebody about them. It works for me. |
