Personally I don't have OCD, but if you have any questions about the disorder then feel free to ask and we will try and help you with an answer.
I have also found this link: Understanding OCD which may benefit you as it has some really good, useful information about help, treatment and self-help

You may also want to check out this thread: Do you have a mental illness? - many people have stated what they've been diagnosed with, some people have OCD on there, you could think about dropping them a friendly PM asking if they minded talking about it, if you think that's appropriate.

My Dad suffers from OCD. - He should have got therapy a long time ago.

I have OCD, not like my dad though.

Things that affect me are;

-Straight Edges
-Seperation of Food in Plate
-Wearing Matching Colours including Socks
-A-Z of CD's/DVD's
-Teeth Cleaning

I am lucky however. My OCD is mild, it occasionly flares up a bit, but generally I'm OK., Its just my dad that needs help.

I have OCD. And I know a LOT about it and have had so much experience with it, so PM me anytime, I'd love to chat with you about it! You're not alone.

Hi Maurana!

Stephanie posted some great links...definitely check them out! ^_^ Personally, I do not have OCD, but I have a disorder that is considered to be in the "Obsessive Compulsive Spectrum" (Compulsive Skin Picking).

I hope that, with your new diagnosis, you can get any help that you may need. Take care, and stay strong. <3

I do have OCD. It affects me in quite a few ways

- Hand Washing
- Checking
- Rummination
- Paranoia
- Magical Thinking (Fear of word Sentance spelt with 'e', fear of the number between 46 and 48)

I am part of a charity called OCD-UK, who do some really good resources:

(Raises hand) Oooh, me me.

I was diagnosed with OCD about four years ago, along with anxiety disorder, depression, dermatillomania, and panic disorder. It is something that can be managed, whether through therapy, medications, etc. Everyone's bodies and minds are going to differ on what works and what doesn't, so it's a trial and error type of thing. Don't give up on it. It took me a bit, but once I got it figured out, it helped immensely.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me, okay?

I wasn't diagnoised till I was like 16 due to chronical denial of my parents, but I've had it since I was about 12 lol

Mine mostly focuses on the prevention of germs spreading (mostly lots of self washing)

Yes, I have been diagnosed with OCD. Mine places an emphasis on cleaning/hygiene and checking.

If you want to talk about it it's cool by me, I know how you feel.

Take care,
