Phobic- injection time... advice????? - April 30th 2012, 10:07 AM

I'm completely and utterly petrified of needles.
Have to go have a couple of injections todayl

Totally freaking out, feeling dizzy and shaky and sick and aarrrggghh..

Any help? How to actually sit through it?

Sit down, either look away or close your eyes, and make sure they DON'T tell you when they're going to do it - if you don't know, then all of a sudden it's done.

I dislike needles but I'm not phobic about them. I find that if I look away it's a lot easier to deal with, and also that it hurts less if I don't know it's coming - if that makes any sense at all.

Good luck with that, I'm sure these injections will be beneficial in the long run
