Question What should I do? - June 9th 2012, 04:19 AM

Hello, I am new to this site so I am sorry if I mess up with this thread or if its in the wrong 'subject' or whatever else could be wrong.

Anyway, I have been diagnosed with Low Self Esteem Disorder and I keep feeling worse and worse. I feel at the point where I might be depressed, and my family realizes this. However, they say MY depression is making THEM depressed, which only makes me feel so much worse. I used to see a conselor because of my very low self esteem, but I don't any longer. I also feel very alone in this situation, and even in life for that matter.

Again, sorry for any mistakes!

Did talking to somone help your Low Self Esteem?

If so i would say go and see a counselor again.
Also try and do things that make you feel happy!!
I used to be a very shy person and i hate going out, but then i made some friends that were out of this world.

If you believe you are becoming depressed, I urge you to visit a psychiatrist or psychologist.
I agree with the above post telling you to go see your counselor and doing things that you enjoy. If going to a counselor didn't work the first time, don't worry- you may just have not found the right counselor! Also, I know with depression it's probably hard to think abou doing anything, but I'll tell you what I say to a lot of people on here who are depressed- Try and take some "you" time. As long as you don't do anything self destructive, do things you enjoy!
I'm here for you if you need me- you can always tie me a visitor message or private message.
Hang in there!

Hi there.

Firstly, Welcome to Teenhelp. I'm glad you have come to us for some help and support.

I think its positive that you've recieved help in the past. Do you feel it actually helped you at the time? It might be worth looking back into going in to therapy to try and help the probelms with your esteem and confidence. I know that can be scary but if it might help then it will really be worth it.
