Self talking - October 9th 2012, 05:55 PM

I think im crazy. Why .....? well i end up talking to myself and imagining i talk to people who i am not even talking to. For example if I wish to talk to a girl i like or something. I literrally mentally talk ot her , even though in real life these action are not being permed im lost in my mind talking to her. This affect my learning in school and a bunch of other stuff. I feel im crazy by other facts

such as......

So since a I was like 6 I have always felt lonely and un-understood. The thing is I could never sleep and I was often ( And currently many times as well) depressive about it and couldnt sleep at all at nigth. SO I figured out tha if I sang I felt less lonely......but the addiction to music became so large that I currently never leave my headphones anywhere, I do about 10 hours daily with them on , and I produce and rap to the music. ..... I came to a point were i dream of it....and seem to kinda live my songs. I listen only to instrumental dependng on my mood and it even has affected my eating patterns and i constantly have a song in my mind. I have more than than thousands of beats! ... I tried to leave it for two days and I felt extremely depresive and lonely, and had addiction breaking like symptoms, of shivers and headache, and hot and cold flashes. Is it just me or im just imaginning it? Can music be addictive? What are the psychological aspects of this? How can I try to break away the addiction (If there is). Is it possible im addicted to music? Anybody?......

Hey there, firstly: You are not crazy for having mental conversations or talking with yourself. It is quite normal, especially when you have an anxiety about talking to that certain person.
Secondly, music can be addictive. Everything in our world is addictive if you do it enough, even listening to music. As such, your response to listening to music is blocking out the world, most likely, so you yearn for that.

My blog is open to all, those whom are easily triggered avoid, it's a story about a girl and her life and how far she has come over the years. If you read it, I hope it inspires you to keep fighting and to NEVER give up!

Fantasies are a healthy outlet for things society deem taboo and possible outcomes for actions we do, among with actions we hope to attain from the other person.

For instance, rape is taboo; yet it's one of the most common fantasy. (This does not mean people want to be raped, it's JUST a fantasy). Also, if we go up to a girl, and ask her out, humans enjoy the possible outcomes of our interactions. It's a normal, healthy behavior.

As far as the music, it's normal. As long as you're not doing permanent damage to your ear, by blaring the music, you're fine.

A few things you must know about me.

1. Social interactions are confusing. I may offend you. Don't take it the wrong way.

2. If you need help, regardless of what it is, you can always pm me.

3. I'm brutally honest. Sugar coating is more brutal.

4. You, yes the person reading this, is a spectacular lovely person. Don't let anybody tell you different.
