Angry Crappy Thoughts.. - December 31st 2012, 01:02 AM

I am "underweight" as most people and websites tell me. I can't say numbers on here but I'm not terribly underweight.. only a few pounds for someone who is 5'8. But when I look in the mirror it's like holyyyy crap I hate my body. How can I get it through my thick head that I look fine? I've always been reaally sensitive but no one knows because I don't talk about my feelings with others. If I even START to get into a fight with my parents I have to walk away because I start crying. I also get very anxious from time to time. Would going to a therapist help get this sorted out? I don't feel like I can talk to my parents about it because I'm awful at talking about my feelings.. This may not be a mental illness but I feel like it is a problem because no matter what I do, these crappy thoughts are just there and I get irritated sooo easily because I'm always stressing about them. Any ideas on what I can do?

Hey Cassie, I think talking to a therapist is a great idea, this kind of thing is what they're there for. I think it's perfectly okay to be sensitive about things, but if it's starting to worry you getting help is a good idea.
