Classes, Stress and ADD - March 5th 2013, 03:32 PM

Well, i'm suppoce to graduate in may. Well b/c i've had to be out and with my other classes and my ADD, i'm having alot of trouble in my paramedic cardiology class. Ive talked to my teacher and she is going to help me. My A-D-D isn't helping at all. Even though i'm on meds for it, b/c i had to be out b/s they found a mass in my arm and though it was cancer. I had to be out for testing and surgery. They said it wasn't. But b/c of that, i'm having so much trouble, that i may not be able to graduate in may like i want to and may have to restart my program.

Does your school offer special accommodations to students with disabilities? They should (it's a requirement in the United States), and if so, I'd take full advantage of that! Ask for tutoring services, talk to your teacher about getting an extension/additional time for taking exams, and look into other options that involve postponing graduation without having to start all over again (perhaps a belated medical leave of absence?).

You might want to look into talking to someone about your studying skills and time management. Because I also have ADHD after I got help with managing my time and studying better it helped a lot.
Also a lot of schools can work with it if you can get medical proof that your health problems (surgery and what not) affected your education recently.

Feel free to PM me if you ever need to chat or have questions
