Why do I seem to attract creepers? Am I just self centered and paranoid? - February 14th 2014, 02:15 PM

I don't know why but I seem to attract a lot of older men who are either married or divorced more than once or in their 50s. It really bothers me they hit on me and say they miss me or I'm sexy or weird stuff like that but when I want the attention of guys MY age who are singal and socially acceptable that I'm interested in...they don't seem to notice. Only online on sites like Tagged or Facebook.

I don't get it, but it bothers me. It's nice to hear I'm beautiful but it creeps me out like I get paranoid that they like/want me and I'm not interested. Friends are okay but I don't want to be creeped on. I try to be nice while distancing myself but it still feel creepy. Lately it's been my married supervisor in his 40s probably. I was okay with being friends but I didn't expect him to be kind of creepy saying you dont get to work with such a beauty every day and he misses me. I tried to tell him don't say it if your wife wouldn't like reading it but I tried not to over react either. But he kept on with it. Now this morning I laid it out and said keep it approprieate those things should be kept to himself.

that does sound like a tough situation. And you don't sound paranoid to me. I think anyone would be creeped out if they were often approached by older men.
You were right to tell your supervisor that you didn't think he should be acting that way. If the problem keeps up, is there anyone you could talk to about it that could step in? Sometimes it's good to get help on these issues, especially since these people make you feel awkward and uncomfortable.
Good luck, hope that helped.

No he respected it and stopped. No hard feelings, or grudges, nothing awkward. But still its not just him other people too and it bothers me. Sometimes complete strangers on the bus even.
