Has anyone heard of NPD? I just found it online and was wondering. It said that it has to do with self obsession and constant need for admiration and self acceptance.

There is a link to an article here that might be useful for you to read.It is not quite that they need constant attention and acceptance, it is more that they see themselves higher than others and simultaneously demand that attention as well as take it away from others and say they don't deserve any form of attention. It is so much more than what you thought. Reading that article might help clear any questions you had.

In my personal experience, narcissicists are people who have an over-inflated ego and brag a lot. The Mayo Clinic website seems to give a good definition:
Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of ultraconfidence lies a fragile self-esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism.
