in-patient for three weeks. - September 29th 2009, 02:05 AM

I do nottt want to go!
Do you know what that means?
No friends for three weeks.
No school for three weeks.
No little brother for three weeks.
No Kai for three weeks.
No texting for three weeks.
No TeenHelp For Three Weeks.

I might as well just call my death now. ):

and when life gets too hard to face on your own.
I will stand as a light through the darkness unknown,
I will walk with you, so you're never alone.

It isn't as bad as it seems.

From my own experience of 5 weeks (and I'm sure others with longer experiences can comment as well), the first few days (maybe even the first week) are all about getting used to things. After the first little bit you will most likely start having privleges and it won't seem as bad.

Of course, once you get to know people and get into the routine of things, the time starts to go at least a little faster.

Don't worry, things will be okay. Just remember, you are there to get help, you are there for you. Try to make the best of it.

PM me if you ever want or need to talk, I'm always around

As long as you try, you have a possibility of success. This goes for every aspect of your life whether it be school, family, relationships or just life in general (or anything I'm leaving out).

The answer is... just... T-R-Y

things will get better and you'll get through it. As drey said, your there for you. Go do what needs to be done and come back soon. TH isn't going anywhere and most likely neither are your friends or family so don't stress and feel better. Try not to worry

Take care

I was in the hospital for a few months and it's not as bad as it sounds. At first things really suck but then you start making friends and you get to do things if you're good. The place I was at had computers with internet you could go on if you were good enough, and they let you have your phone, and they had school there too if you wanted to go.
And your friends and family can of course visit you if you don't mind it.

But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

My boyfriend just got back from in-patient and he said he actually had... fun! I know it's super scary at first, but it's really not as bad as it seems usually. You make friends there pretty quicly because everyone's there to get better and help eachother get better. My boyfriend made a few lifelong friends that made him very happy. Happier than I've ever seen him anyway... You can see friends and family and talk to people on the phone, they just have to visit and call you. Depending on where you're going, you may be able to call them from the phone there.
As people have said, you're going for YOU, so go there and try to cooperate. It's hard, I know, but if you get along and try to get better, hell you might even get out sooner.

But like I said, my boyfriend made some really great friends there and got along very well with the councelors, and he was freaking out before going in. His mood and personality completely changed, he even played basketball and he's the laziest person I know! =P

It's not as bad as it sounds, try not to go in thinking it's going to be hell. Try your hardest to be optimistic.

Take me seriously.
I dare you.

Hey Kayla,

It might feel like you have no friends / family / school / texting etc. for a few weeks, but you need to think positive! You are going to be admitted to the inpatients unit for a reason. At the end of your stay you will have improved your mental health. In the end it will be worth it for you! There is also a good chance that you will make some new friends in there whilst you are admitted and have a joke or two with other patients.

Make sure you focus on your therapy and other treatments that they will give you, and make sure that you do it for you. It's all going to benefit you at the end of the three weeks. It will make your life easier and you will notice the difference

Good luck!

Hey hun,
I know its hard, I spent 3 months in a psych ward.. and although its not easy,
It gets easier once you settle into the routines, and get to know the other patients..
Just hang in there, like someone else has said, it'd only be happening for your benefit, and if it's gonna help you then it'll be worth it. =] Good Luck

[x] Even though I'm the sacrifice,
You wont try for me, not now,
Though I'd die to know you love me,

I'm all alone,

Isn't something missing?
Isnt someone missing me [x]

Baby, i want you to be my superman.
