help please - January 9th 2010, 02:39 PM

Everytime I tell my mum something, I feel really bad or something, even if I jsut even feel sick. She jsut laughs at me. So does my sister. My own family is putting more preassure on me. Then if I get really, really angry at my mum for like nagging at me She goes oh yeah if you dont like living her then the doors always open. And Im like yeah id rather live on the street than here.

She does love me but its so hard. She doesnt understand when I'm going through, I'm going through a reall tough time in school and everything, things are harder at home and ontop of that my hormoanes are changing all the time. I mean one night and she was a bti drunk I told her everything. That Im always lonley and everything and she was really sympathetic. But in the morning she blamed it all on me saying 'After the cheek you gave me last night saying that all I do is lay bingo'

I'm sick of having no one and I have no one to talk to, I have 1 friend. Every time I cal her she never picks up. Im out of school right now and I have like 3 friends. I cant trust them either. I dont trust any adults to talk to them either. I have no one.

Can you please help? I really, really dont know what to do.

Hi,

Like you said your only 12, so your hormones are going anywhere. When you are growing up, relationships get very rocky and your mum tries to mother you , forgetting you are growing up. She still thinks you are a young child and she still thinks she can control you.

Dont let it happen. The older you get, the easier relationships with parents get better, its just at your age they still want to protect you and still dont believe there is anything wrong. You are their 'baby'

But, that is not an excuse for your mum to behave the way she is doing. Not fair on you, not fair on her.

I think what you should do, is write everything in a letter and give it to her.....not after you have a shouting match, but when she is relaxed, like in the bath,

If you write everything about how you feel, and how you feel that she feels and how upset you get then maybe she will understand a bit more.

YOu could also suggest counselling, this could help you and your mum to both understand what each other is thinking.

You could also go to social services and let them know the situation and they could put you in temporary care.

Whataver you do, do it for you, not for anybody else
