Question Extreme Freak Out - April 29th 2010, 12:18 AM

I usually don't get emotional about things, which is why this is concerning me. Today a friend of mine with anger issues got upset with me during class and ended up having to leave (not because he got in trouble, but because the teacher wanted him to calm down). I told my mom about it when she came home (which is also rare, because I usually don't talk to her) and I started to feel seriously sick. I already felt like throwing up because I was just upset, but then my hands started tingling and then my face, and all during this I was having trouble breathing. I made all the noises I make when I cry, except no tears were coming out of my eyes. My face also was extremely pale afterwards. Is this a panic attack or just me being really upset?

I either feel like no one cares, and that I should be breaking things, and that everything is falling apart, or that everything is great, and I can do anything, and I really do have friends.

I'm stuck halfway in between.

It sounds like it could be, but I am not a doctor. Have you ever had something anything like this ever in your past? If you don't usually get emotional it could just be a reaction to the days events, everyone can have occasionaly panic attacks but its when it occurs often that it becomes a major issue.

Nothing this extreme has ever happened before, but I felt really dizzy afterward and sometimes I randomly feel dizzy. So... I shouldn't be extremely concerned?

To me, this definitely sounds like it could be a panic attack.
However, I am not a doctor. I would recommend going to see a doctor.
Also, you shouldn't worry over this either.
