Talking I'm getting better! - May 6th 2010, 09:08 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Well, I've been struggling with OCD since the end of 2008 start of 2009. I washed my hands A LOT! To the point where they would crack and start bleeding. I stopped ending nuts and anything that may contain nuts because I HATED nuts.

But now I'm not spending so much time in the shower or washing my hands as much as I used to. I'm starting to end chocolate...the ones that may contain nuts. I NEVER thought I would eat chocolate again. But now I am! I think the last time I ate chocolate was probably this time last year?

I'm SO proud of myself!

Rianna,

It is absolutely wonderful to hear that you are now coping better and recovering from your obsessive compulsive tendencies. That is fabulous and I'm glad that you are proud of yourself - you should be! I too, am proud of you for managing to overcome this difficult disorder. Your experience is very promising for a lot of is and it should give us hope to know that people can recover well and live a more pleasant lifestyle.

Thank you for sharing your story and well done.
