i dont think that it's a weird fear at all.
lots of people are afraid of dinosaurs...
i mean; they're like... really big... and a lot of them are meat eaters..
and for them to come after to you.... O_____o...

everyone is afraid of something
im afraid of spiders; badly.
i dont care what the size, whether its super small or big or whatever.
i FREAK out.
i dont even like killing them... :P.
my family makes fun of me for it too...

You probably watched the movie at a young age and were traumatized, causing a phobia to develop, which is totally normal. A lot of people have phobias, and it has to do with a certain area of the brain giving off a certain hormone. You can get help from a therapist. (I am ophidiophobic, meaning I'm afraid of snakes)

EDIT: if it's of any interest, you can look up on wikipedia a list of phobias.

It's not weird. My sister watched Twister at a very young age, and now wind scares her. But it's only because of her being tramatized that young.

I'm afraid of feet. And caterpillar/maggot/worm like bugs. As in like, scream, run away and shake in a corner scared.
The foot thing is more of a disgust...but I still hate them

It's okay everyone has fears...I'm deathly afraid of elevators...im not normally claustrophobic (sorry is i spelled that horribly wrong) but in elevators its like death lol...i only go in them if i have to...otherwise i insist on taking the stairs...ever since i watched a movie about 9/11 i have the fear that i'll get stuck in one so anytime the door takes an extra half a second (no joke) i almost have a mini heart attack lol

It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.

Re: an odd fear? maby - August 14th 2010, 07:48 PM

Everybody has fears. Its not odd or weird. My sister in law is so terrified of clowns she wouldn't watch a dancing show that featured a routine by clowns.

I am terrifed of the dark. Almost nineteen years old and have christmas rope lights up and lit in my room for when I sleep so its never completely dark.
Oh and spiders. Had this huge spider come out of somewhere in my room. I jumped my ass up on my bed and didn't leave for HOURS even though it scurried away. Then I jumped off my bed ran out of my room after those HOURS went into my moms room and didn't go back in my room until my mom came home and searched my room.

Its okay to have fears. But just remember dino's died decades ago.

Always remember to put your happiness first.

Just watch jurassic park a bunch of times over and over. You'll become so familiar with the scenes that you'll get desensitized to the dinos jumping out "unexpectadly".
