Unhappy Trust issues. - January 19th 2011, 08:14 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Ok so I have really bad trust issues. I don't trust anyone, sometimes not even myself. And I don't want it to affect my relationships in the future because if I have a boyfriend sometime then I want to be able to trust him. I don't want to spend the rest of my life not trusting anybody because it'll damage so many relationships I have with people. And I don't want that. I want to be able to trust people like I used to. I slowly have built a emotional wall around me since December 2008 and I refuse to let the wall down because I don't want to be hurt. But it's hurting me to know that I can't trust anyone and it's my fault. I'm hurting myself because I can't tell people how I feel.

Rianna, I used to have some pretty major trust issues. I mean, I still do, but it's not nearly as bad as it was before.

I started by telling my friends little secrets about me that were so trivial they almost didn't matter. And little by little, I could build it up, to the point I could trust people with the fact that I had depression.

"Want to know a secret?

You are beautiful.

Black, white, gay, straight, bisexual. Whether you are smart or quiet or impossibly in love with your best friend, someone out there cherishes your smile and gets butterflies when you walk into a room.

Someone out there can't stop thinking about you. You Are Beautiful. Don't ever believe differently."

If you ever want someone to talk to, about absolutely anything, feel free to inbox me!
