anger management? - February 2nd 2011, 12:09 AM

Has anyone ever been to an anger management class or gone to counseling for anger management?

What do they teach you to do in order to control your anger?

For people with anger issues, what do you do to keep yourself under control?

Hi there

Are you considering anger management?
I know that this isn't what you asked, but I thought I'd say that I think that it's a really wonderful idea, smart, and proactive. From what I've heard, it can be a little frustrating, but very helpful when you stick with it. Hang in there.

What I try and do is take a deep breathe and consider what I am saying or doing and how it might affect the future. This sometimes helps but other then that I try to end whatever I'm doing to cool off.

And here you are living, despite it all.

try thinking before you react. getting angry is your instinctive response. if you take a breath and think for a second before you react you might realize that getting angry isn't the smartest thing to do.

It's hard for me to deal with it because the only time I lose it is when I'm home. No one, and I mean NO ONE, other than my parents has ever seen my anger issue, because my parents are the only ones who make me flip out like that..
