Major Depressive Episodes - February 18th 2011, 11:54 PM

I was diagnosed this a couple months back. Does anyone else suffer from this? Any ideas on how to cope or how to prevent them when I feel them coming on?

Re: Major Depressive Episodes - February 20th 2011, 03:24 PM

Hey,

I have bipolar type 2 which is kinda close. It pretty much means major depression with mild mania. And so, there are ways to cope but sometimes they could be hard to find. Are you on any medication for this? Because sometimes I know that the medication could be very helpful. Also, things that help the most honestly is writing. Thoughts and feeling as good/bad they are. Re-read it and then burn the page. It sometimes feels like a burden is taken away that way. As well, there is also music. But positive music. And, chat with common people that deal with the same thing. It could be benificial.

Best of luck and hope everything goes good. You can PM me anytime,

Alicia
