Something wrong in my head. - April 14th 2011, 12:08 AM

I've been hearing things. Things I'm not thinking and things I know no one else can hear. It's music. Not like, pop music or something. It's scary because I don't know what the music is saying, and the voice I hear in it is... Scary. I can't even put this right. There's no words. And it's not music I've ever heard before either. It has instruments.. But it doesn't? And the words make sense... But they don't... This doesn't happen very often, but I get scared when it does.
And Constantly feel like people are staring at me or talking about me. Every time someone turns my way they are laughing at me or thinking about how stupid I am..

... help me please :|

Hey Becca,
Sorry to hear this is happening to you. It must be really hard. Have you told anyone about hearing these things before? It's important to reach other to others so they can help you. You've done the first step by reaching out to us which is great! It's also really good that you know you are the only one hearing them. It's easier feel better if you know they aren't real. When you hear it, tell yourself it's not real. You are okay, nothing will harm you. Just because people are laughing doesn't mean they are laughing at you. Try to be more confident in yourself. You're a great person and there is no reason for anyone to be laughing at you. If it keeps bothering you, take some deep breaths and move away from them. It might be hard at first but keep trying.

Becca, have you been stressed, or bullied a lot? Had anything changed in your life before this started happening?

maybe think about when it happens. is it in a certain place or at a certain time? with certain people? that is kinda scary :/ maybe try filling your head with positive thoughts, or calling a trusted friend when it happens. or maybe even listening to real music, to get it out of your head? hope things get better <3

I'm bullied a lot actually. And yeah something really stressful happened 2 months ago. I was forced to move 2000 miles away from my friends to go to a new school where harldy anyone likes me.
Sorry about the sarcasm in that post..

Becca, then you should probably see a counselor. People can start hearing voices, music, and other things, when they're under stress. Seeing a counselor or a therapist would probably be a good solution, especially since they would be there to talk to you, and help you cope with your stress to avoid hearing things again.

I agree with Julz. It helps A LOT to talk things out. Especially with someone who is trained to help.

I'm afraid to get help while i'm here. If this keeps happening, I'll get help back in California.

Well, what is stopping you from getting help where you are right now? If the issue is a concern, seeing somebody sooner, rather than later, can help avoid A LOT of problems.

I don't feel comfortable talking to anyone here.
