Little Sister hears voices? - June 8th 2011, 04:24 PM

So yesterday I talked to my little sister about who knocked over the vase, she told me the voices told her to, this has been going on for awhile, shes physically 13 but mentally 4-5. One night last week I caught her cutting herself, she told me the voices told her she was a bad girl and had to do it to be good again. What could this be?

13 but mentally 4-5...

I have an uncle like that. He's 65 but his brain is sorta trapped at being 9. He actually had problems with hearing voices, and they scared him. They told him to kill himself. He got help and some pills, and he didn't hear them anymore. You have to realize they know something is wrong with them. It causes depression and other problems. Go to a doctor before something goes horribly wrong. When dealing with the mentally handicapped doctors should be the first thing you do for any problem. Not eating, over eating, voices, not talking, you name it and these minor thing all turn into major problems quckily.
