I am sorry to hear that you are struggling at the moment.
The best thing to do even though it is scary is to tell someone preferably a trusted adult such as a carer, parent, relative, teacher, family friend, school counseller/nurse. They can help you and surport you and help you get the help you need. The next step is to go to a medical prefessional such as your doctor who can help you make sense of this spaces of time and what happens when you wake up and can refer you to someone that specialises in helping people with what you are going though.

Take care.

Are you SURE the bottles of wine have absolutely NO impact on this?

No medical professional, whether they believe in Multiple Personality Disorder or not, would be willing to diagnose a drinking teenager with MPD, considering substance abuse (i.e. heavy drinking, drugs, etc.) can all have HUGE effects that, well, make a diagnosis IMPOSSIBLE.

I suggest you stay clean, and avoid alcohol. If something like this happens (waking up with the slits, for example) when you HAVEN'T had any external influence (don't Google symptoms, don't drink/smoke anything, don't take pills, etc.), then maybe that is when a doctor should be notified. Until then, it sounds like you probably just have an issue handling your booze.

She makes a fantastic point here. No doctor will diagnose, but you will end up in detox so fast it will make your head spin, you can bet on that.

As for the multiple personalities..are you sure it's that? Like..I know you cannot be sure..but I have that and this does not sound similar. Spaces in time where you cannot remember anything can even be a result of chronic seizures or perhaps a memory disorder. It can be anything. As for the reasons of the drinking and the cuts, it can be a result of the completely disassociated state you are in. You may be trying to wake yourself up.

Let's assume it's a bad memory disorder. You do not know what your thoughts were before you "woke" because you forget them. What if, as the memory loss is coming on, you know it's happening and you try to jolt yourself out of it by self harm? I know it's a wild theory..but it goes to show that MPD is but one of billions of possibilities. Be careful when you self diagnose, hun. It can lead to some..unpleasant scenarios. I promise you that.

Like Legion and Julz said, I think the amount of alcohol you could be drinking might be having a serious affect on you? And I used to know someone who had MPD, and I don't think your symptoms are really the same as hers were. However, I'm not saying that you definately do not have some sort of disorder. Although (I think!) it is unlikely, there is still a possibility. But I'm certainly not a proffesional, so I do suggest that you see a doctor. Even if it is the alcohol, a doctor would probably be able to tell you exactly what's wrong. Tell a parent, or another adult about it too!
Good luck
