TOO happy? - July 17th 2011, 04:41 PM

For years I was mostly depressed and such. But the last two years I've been getting SO much better. There are some days that I feel like I have no idea what to do with myself because I'm happy. Like, I feel like I'm going to explode rainbows on everyone. I'm not saying this is really a problem, because I love being happy, but especially during summer I just don't know what to do with myself. I know it's not mania or anything like that, I'm pretty sure it's just...normal happiness. But I feel like it's been so long since I've felt like this so often that I don't know how to deal with it. Mostly I'm just trying to think of things I can do until I go back to school, because then I can just go hang out with people or do homework. But when I don't really have anything to do it gets harder, because I get more energetic (I've been tired a lot lately, we're pretty sure it's related to a medical problem that I'm trying to get figured out) and I don't really want to sit still and do something like reading.

So any ideas on how I can deal with the sudden energy/happiness/etc?

Get a hobby that involves expressing creativity or go for a jog?

Or depending on your age you could get a job.

I can't really run/jog because I can't breathe, but I'll try riding my bike and hopefully building up my ability to do more cardio like running (something about running at 7am sounds appealing to me).

I tried to get a job for the summer but it didn't work out and I only have a month until I move back to school, and nowhere will hire me. But I'm going to work on finding a babysitting job or two (I love little kids and I'm hoping they can wear me out)

I just want to say that this is fantastic that you'r feeling so happy
Maybe you could try art? I know whenever I'm in a good mood I like to express my feelings through art Especially photography!
As Rick has said a hobby would be one of the best things to do as they're something you can concentrate on and you never know it could lead to something you'd like to do in the future
