Am I the only nutjob? - November 16th 2011, 05:15 PM

So, I've been diagnosed wit Schizo Effective disorder, anxiety disorder and clinical depression. As a result of these things, I have no friends, no quality of life, and I feel like I'm in a deep hole that I will never be able to get out of. There are also other issues that accompany these things, such as Bedwetting. Idk, sometimes I just feel like I'm the only one in the world I guess.

You can't control luck. Life will always throw things at you and the only thing you can do it work with what life has given you. Don't let something stupid like a disease control you.

You're definitely not the only one who suffers from a mental disorder. It has been estimated that roughly 1 in 4 adults suffers from a mental disorder, but you won't hear about it because 1) people are ashamed, or 2) people don't/won't seek help. That's why I love communities like TeenHelp... you can come here and connect with other people who are struggling with their problems, whether it's something relatively mild (a stressful class) or traumatic (a recent death). There IS hope, and I wish you all the best as you continue to work with your family members and psychological professional in minimizing/eliminating the symptoms of these conditions.
