Stress -
December 1st 2011, 07:34 PM
*Feel free to move this if in wrong place*
My mum is suffering from stress. She knows she is and she told me she is and from what she says everyone at her work knows it too. This has been caused by a number of things, work, everything going wrong, not much money, cat needing loads of stuff out, the fact our door to the house has just broke and also having a child who is failing exams and I think she knows I struggle a bit. But anyway, this isn't about me it's about mum. I need to know what I can do to help her, I mean I have to keep studying or that will stress her more and I have to pass exams for us both. But apart from that I'm up for almost anything, although I can't supply money and then I don't really know. But yeah I was mainly wandering how I could support her and if there's any advice from people and stuff. When life gives you one thousand reasons to cry, show life one million reasons to SMILE! ![]() Because we all love pigs |

Well she should be at ease with one thing: she has a very caring daughter that loves her. There are many things you can do, not necessarily huge things even little things. Make dinner one night so she doesn't have to worry about it, clean for her, even talk to her about all that is worrying her. Some things you can't help such as stress at work and financial troubles but letting her know someone is there for her will take a lot of stress off her plate.
Enjoy the little things in life, for someday you will realize they were the big things. ![]() |

Ask her, "What can I do to help?" Like the previous poster said, helping out around the house (cooking/cleaning) will give her time to focus on other things. She may benefit from talking to you about her problems; however, that may not be what she needs. She may actually need you to talk about "normal" stuff, because not everyone wants to dwell on their problems. Continue to take care of your grades and your own well-being as well. =)

I agree with both posts.
Just be there for her, and do what you need to do to succeed. You mom will be very happy with know that you have accomplished alot. Also, when you get free time maybe so a few things around the house, surpise her alittle. Small things go far and you may even get a smile out of her! And always remember, Give her a hug! She will smile! ![]() Best wishes, Chris Chris Jackson
