Lack Emotions - April 3rd 2012, 02:32 AM

I haven't been really feeling emotions all that much the past year. When I do feel, I tend to only feel anger, frustration, stress, or sadness. I don't really remember what happiness or love feels like anymore. I haven't really been feeling anger all that much lately either (I have/had a temper), which is concerning (not really since I don't really care about anything that much). I'm not completely emotionless, just lacking quite a lot.

PS
I'm not depressed.

Robyn, it's not clear what could be the cause of this..you're describing restricted emotional responsiveness, which isn't typical...yet you've determined it's not depression. As an FYI, depression takes different forms, sometimes the feelings are bland and flat with periods of anger and limited frustration tolerance. It's not just being tearful and crying or feeling blue, especially in teens.

Regardless of what this is, it shouldn't be there, so it might be best to try to figure out when it started and why and come up with a plan to address that. If that doesn't work alone, tell your folks and let then take you to a doc who can assess and treat this.

PM me with the link of the post you'd like me to respond to.

It might be because I haven't slept properly since.....I was born I haven't been getting enough sleep lately. I guess I'll try getting better feted and see if that helps.

Could this be the result of Escitalopram, Concerta, and Novo-Trazodone? I've been reading their interactions and side effects, and it sounds like I should be dead O_o
