Unhappy problems again - November 30th 2012, 05:12 PM

So all my friends are skinnier than me.I'm not fat but I'm bigger than them and it's like the worst thing I just look at them and I envy them cause they have such a beautiful face and body and I'm bigger than them.
  • Does anyone knows some effective way to lose weight ?

Hey Emma,

I assume because you put this thread in the Eating Disorders forum rather than the General Health forum that you are.looking foe unhealthy ways to lose weight. Here on TeenHelp, we do not support that. Since you are a normal weight, you do not need to lose weight, you need to GAIN self confidence.

Remember: people come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Your friends may just be naturally skinnier than you, and you cannot control their natural shape. Just eat healthy and be who you are, there's nothing wrong with being the curvier friend. I'm ALWAYS that friend as well, haha!

Personally, I think you need to gain some self confidence. You're a normal weight so you don't need to lose weight. Everyone is different, and skinny is definitely not the only form of beauty. Try to lift yourself up by noting all the things you like about yourself. I know it's hard that you have friends thinner than you, but that doesn't mean you're any less attractive. You're beautiful just the way you are. It's important you understand that. <3 Find small ways to boost your confidence, like a new shirt or a haircut. The little things make a difference in our moods.
