Angry My uncontrolable temper - January 4th 2013, 02:47 PM

I dont know what it is but im furious all the time. I hate it when my dad always reaches for my hands and not to hold them. But to see how cold they are. I hate it when my mom says i need to weigh u or when my friends say remember when u drank coke everyday and now u wnt even take a sip? I hate my life and i take it out on everyone. Everything makes me angry, the weather, sleeping in too late, a change in plans, my memories, my sister always telling me im screwed up. I cant stop crying, i feel like im crazy and out of my mind. Do other anorexics get this upset?

Recovery is a very, very challenging process. Personally, I was the most irritable bitch for so long I started to question whether my entire personality had been changed by this illness- and it has, but only in a good way(:

It might be really, really difficult to get your head around, but your parents are only concerned. I know that doesn't help really, but I hope it gives you an insight into why they're doing what they're doing. If you don't think they're helping- tell them that! They might not know they're irritating you.

The anger stage passed- at least for me. I went from hopelessness, to strength, to anger, to strength, to utter despair, to happiness.

Take as long as you need.

I feel the same way. The littlest things can piss me off and ruin my mood because I'm already constantly stressing about food. I find that talking about it helps me, whether it's a therapist, a family member, or a friend.

People typically don't understand ED's unless they lived through it. But they know enough to know that is's harmful towards the human body, and THEY see the changes in attitude that come with the disorder. That's where their actions come in. They are concerned for your healthy. They see that you're struggling and they see what you're doing to your body, when you might not even believe it. You need to talk to your parents and tell them what you feel is going on. Tell them what will help you and what won't. Let people be there for you, because you don't deserve to fight this battle alone.
