Well I have DID, so it's pretty safe to say that while I tell myself negative things about myself, it's not exactly a "voice." Some people will argue with this, but this is how I have come to understand my own illness. And as my most harmful part is integrated, this isn't an issue I experience anymore.

If you are hearing voices, it is best to speak with a professional about it. They can help you determine why and help you to find solutions that will work for you. You won't be judged or called crazy, so it's very important to reach out for help.

It would also be helpful to speak to someone about your unhealthy relationship with food. You don't have to go through this alone, Jessy. You either, Sophie.

Similar to Jessie, I do hear a voice in my head that says negative things about me. But like Jessie, it's mostly because I have an illness that causes me to hear it. If you are hearing a voice it would be best to speak to a doctor about it, you might have something in addition to your ED that's making it more difficult for you. There's a lot of help for you if this is the case, and nobody will judge you for it at all. It's more common than you might think.
Doctors or therapists can help a lot with both your ED and your voice, I'd give them a shot.

Mine's definately my ED. It's not like an auditry halucination or anything, it's all in my head. I try t not listen to it, but it doesn't always say really negative things, it argues with itself. It's confusing

You should see someone about it, regardless. I also have a "voice" that tells me negative things about myself. You'll be okay hun. You're posting, you're opening up. That's great. Now you jsut need to open up to somebody who can really help you.

If you ever need anything, PM me.

You are beautiful just the way you are.
Looking like a fallen star.
Don't listen to what people say.
They don't know the real you, anyways.

At my lowest point, I would think of myself negatively. There were no voices but the same thoughts. You don't have to listen to what these voices are telling you, dear. They only mess with your mind and alter the truth. Listen instead to those who you do trust to be honest with you, and take their words to heart. Reach out for help- you do not have to go through this struggle alone. Even now I still have trouble believing that I am in any way pretty or "hot," as some guys might describe me, though my hope is still strong.

Take care. <3
