SO UPSET!!! :( - October 8th 2014, 10:55 PM

I have struggled with my weight for years and have tried every thing you could possibly try.

Well I have been doing Weight Watchers and keeping within my points. My Dad's cousin messaged me on Facebook and he said that his friend is a personal trainer and would help me lose my weight seeing its making me depressed and not happy at all.

I been working with her and been doing what shes been asking of me. Keeping on Weight Watcher points with tracking my food, exercising more. She told me to either ride my stationary bike for 15-20 minutes or walk for 30 minutes every day and text her that I'm doing it, and If I didnt text her she would know I wasnt keeping up with this, as well as keep a journal about how I feel about this through out the day.

Well....I been doing it and....lost a little bit which I was happy! But.....weighed myself today and it said I gained all my weight back plus an extra [Edited.].

I AM NEVER GOING TO MEET MY GOAL WEIGHT BY FEBRUARY! ((( I want to just stop and I been killing myself walking or riding my bike every day and keeping up with my points and nothing to show for it...

I just saw that you didn't get a reply to this so I thought I would take a shot at it.

I've heard a number of doctors say that you shouldn't focus so much on the weight loss instead you should focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. If you are maintaining a healthy lifestyle and you need to lose weight the weight will eventually drop off. However, if you focus a lot on the weight you want to lose it will make losing weight a whole lot harder because when you don't meet the goals you set for yourself you will feel really disappointed.

I know that this is easier said then done but when I am in a healthy frame of mind this is the rule that I try to live by and it helps to a certain extent. Just focus on eating healthy and exercising and if you need to lose weight you will get there.

Also, why don't you go in and talk to your doctor about all of this and see what they have to say. Explain to them that you have been following an exercise plan as well as a diet plan but instead of losing weight you have gained weight. They might have some tips for you on how to get out of that rut that you are in. And, they will be able to tell you if you actually need to lose weight and how to do it the safe and healthy way.
