Thanksgiving and Recovery. - November 26th 2014, 09:50 PM

I found this on Project HEAL's Facebook page and thought it could be helpful for others, as it has been a good reminder for me.

Stay strong everyone, you can do this! Happy holidays!

“There is nothing beautiful about the wreckage of a human being.
There is nothing pretty about damage, about pain, about heartache.
What is beautiful is their strength, their resilience, their fortitude
as they display an ocean of courage when they pick through the
wreckage of their life to build something beautiful brand new,
against every odd that is stacked against them.” — Nikita Gill

Thank you for sharing this. I am going to have to remember this for tomorrow. The holidays are my favorite time of year but all the food freaks me out. This will definitely be something I'll remember and try and use throughout the day.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I struggled coming up with a sound plan with my therapist, but this is going to help me a lot tomorrow.

wanderlust consumed her;
foreign hearts & exotic minds compelled her.
she had a gypsy soul
and a vibrant heart for the unknown.

Thanks for posting this, I really hate the holidays... it makes my BED go crazy, it seems each year between Nov. - Jan. I put on more weight.

Glad I didn't have to go home this year and go through the charade. But I'm saving this. Still needed for Christmas.

& the sun said “it hurts to become."

Sorry to bump this, but I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving regardless of restricting or overeating.

Remember, there are healthy ways to work off the turkey!
