Question weird eating feeling: advise anyone??? - March 6th 2016, 01:49 AM

im really curious about how im feeling about eating lately. at dinner time im hungry (cuz im always hungry :P) but when i go in to get the food i feel kinda sickish and like im NOT hungry but as soon as i walk away im hungry again. this goes on for a lil while until i finally decide to either eat or go without dinner. in my head i describe it as like a magnet with opposite polarities. they want to attract but when they get close they run away (also like my love life). but i dont know what to do about it or if there is anything to even worry about.

Hi there,

Personally I would speak to your doctor if I were you. I can't diagnose you with anything here because I'm not medically trained. This could be the start of an eating disorder though or it could be that you're physically ill right now so don't feel like eating? Either way your doctor will be able to check you out physically and then talk to you about your symptoms and help you get in the right direction with what ever is going on for you so it could be well worth making an appointment.

In the mean time if you struggle then please feel free to come here for some more help and support. I know this may be hard for you but you can beat this and get through to the other side.

Hope and wishes,

A similar thing happens to me when my depression gets bad: I'll be hungry, then when I go downstairs to make food, I'm suddenly not hungry and food-repulsed.

Maybe this is a result of an underlying problem for you?
I know anxiety and depression can cause a lot of stomach/appetite problems, so I just wanted to put that out there.
