Not diagnosed but want to recover somehow(Male) - May 23rd 2016, 09:14 PM

I've had body image/weight issues for a little over a year. I purged a lot last year, was able to stop for a while and my doctor didn't notice thank god. I was 15 then, now I'm 17 and went back into restricting more and purging a month or so ago, though I've never really binged and am not underweight though I am borderline. I'm unhappy, and haven't been happy in 2 or 3 years, have no social life though that's unrelated to ED. I can't have relationships, but whatever, I'm ugly and unattractive so that's to be expected. Sorry for the rambling, just need advice. I know girls hate me, I understand. Whatever

Hey Makenzie,

I am so glad you are reaching out for help. First thing is first if you want help you need to tell your doctor or therapist so they can help you. I highly doubt you are ugly and unattractive. And eating disorders do take a toll on your social life because you are afraid people will find out, or you feel so bad about yourself you don't want people to see you.

I think it's great that you want help If you ever need to talk just PM/VM me

Don't lose who you are, in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart
Tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising,
Just be true to who you are
