Always hungry after breakfast but only after breakfast ? - July 14th 2016, 01:25 PM

After lunch I'm fine but always in the mornings I can't wait for lunch after lunch I can happily wait for my next meal. It makes no sense cause I do have a good breakfast I usually have an apple a cup of tea and 2 Weetabix biscuits in skimmed milk so I feel that's a nice breakfast and a health option as well I just don't feel as full as I do after I have eaten lunch. I don't know if I should perhaps swap it out for toast in the mornings because I don't know if it's the bread I have for lunch or what or if it's just me lol anyone's thoughts or advice would be appreciated thank you.

its totally understandable. i think everyone has a spot in the day where they r super hungry. for me its always mid afternoon. some people eat at night andsome in the mornings. im pretty sure its bc of chemicals such as cortisol that brings u hunger. and yes it could be what u eat for breakfast that causes it. other breakfast ideas might be eggs and toast, oatmeal and fruit, yogurt and fruit or a smoothie with fruit and yogurt or whatever u prefer.

Maybe you could try drinking a nutrition shake after you're done breakfast? Not sure if it will help but it's worth a shot.

Hey,

I actually have the same problem - breakfast tends not to fill me up as much as other meals do. One thing I've found is that apples actually make me hungrier; I'm not sure if that's a general thing or specific to me, but it might be worth switching out the apple for another fruit (bananas are my go-to, or maybe some berries).

Another possibility is that you might not be eating enough for dinner. When I don't have a substantial dinner, I find that I usually get hungry after breakfast because it's like that jumpstarts my digestive system and makes my body want more. So make sure that your diet in general is complete and balanced, so that your body isn't trying to make up for anything it's missing.

When I was in high school my favourite breakfast was a couple of slices of toast (with different spreads on both, just for variety) and then a serving of yogurt, so you might like to try something similar. Porridge is also a good option, and you can keep it interesting by adding different toppings (dried fruit, nuts, that kind of thing).

Overall I'd recommend fiddling around a bit, trying different things, and seeing if you can come up with a combination that works for you.
