Stupid things. - January 22nd 2009, 11:09 AM

I've made an effort, tried and tried.finally put weight on.And yet again,i see a plate of food and turn it down,I ended up in tears still refusing to eat it.
Does it ever get any easier?
Because i honestly thought I'd conquered this,i don't think so now.
What's the point in trying, I've failed again.
And now i feel huge,i can't do this.

i have the same thing you have. i still can't look at plates of food without feeling sick or crying...
i think..you should take things a step at a time...
starting from snacks...to lunches...going up to plates of food..
that way..you slowly get used to it? That's what i'm doing..and it's working okayish..
Good luck! ^^
don't give up okay?

Hey there Marie,

Does it ever feel easy? Maybe not. Will it begin to feel easier, in time? Most days. You might always have bad days, where it all seems too much, but recovery is a long and arduous process--a two steps forward, one step back kind of thing, sometimes.

Remember that we're only human, all of us, and sometimes we fall. That doesn't mean we have failed, though. You only fail, Marie, if you don't stand back up. I'm really proud of all of the progress you've made, so far, and you should be, too. Don't let this setback discourage you, though. You can do this, I know it. You deserve it.

Someday I will be strong enough to lift not one but both of us.
I told you to be patient
I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced
I told you to be kind
