Is this ok ? (parents say its not) - January 26th 2009, 04:29 PM

Daily routine:

(noon = 12:00/mid day right ?)

Morning: 1 glass of milk

----Between morning and noon : 1 can of coke (pepsi)

Noon: 4 Small pieces of bread, not that much, with some cheese or w.e + 1 can of coke (pepsi)

----Between noon and dinner: Probs a glass of coke..

Dinner: Sometimes (like today) no dinner at all / other times just a litle bit but not much at all

----Between dinner and 00:00 - some more drinking coke..

And thats it..
So basicly I only eat @noon

My parents are asking why im not eating after school, they're saying its not healthy, and that, in their words, "one day you're gonna get something..."

Is this ok or not ?

I mean like today, i had 2 or 3 of the 4 breadpieces at noon, wasnt that hungry, and no dinner at all because i dont feel hungry at all...
I just drink alot..

just woundering :$

No. That's not okay. You aren't getting ANY fruits and vegetables, you're not getting any meat. You're not getting nearly enough dairy, and coke is bad for you... it rots your teeth. I think you should go to a dietician and make yourself a healthy mealplan.. this is ridiculously unhealthy.

No, that isn't OK. That's really bad. Try and start eating at dinner time and in the morning even if it's only something really little to start with. You'll feel better for it.

dairy is like milk or cheese, so you have some but you need much more. fruits taste like candy to me, so why not eat them? vegetables are meh, but you should eat them anyway. and yea lay off a little on the coke its really bad for your bones and teeth.

As has been suggested, Oli, there are definitely better routes to take when laying out your plans for eating. I'd like to link you to a thread that was written by a user here, her_beautiful_mistake, called A Guide to Healthy Eating. If you get the chance, read through that and see what sort of foods you should be getting each day in order to keep yourself healthy. As Edna was saying, if you have the time/money, a dietitian might not be a bad idea for helping you to get your eating routines in order. Also, as for all the Coca Cola and Pepsi you're drinking, drink with caution! Not only is it bad for you to drink caffeinated drinks over eating healthy, nutricious foods, it's also very bad for your teeth - bleh!

Take care of yourself. [:

As everyone else has already said...this is really not a good diet for you. I am assuming you are a female...in which case dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.) are so incredibly important for your bones. You also need to get some meat in there, that is high in protein which your body needs.

I am going to skip the rest, since others have already mentioned them. As for the coke and pepsi you are drinking so much of...that is doing nothing for you. If you think you are saving on calories by not eating and just drinking, you are very wrong! You are going to feel so much better if you eat 3 meals a day...and possibly a snack in between...so essentially eating 5 times a day. And try to eat well balanced meals, fruits, veggies, carbs, proteins, dairy...all of it.

Please consider improving your diet, this is going no where good...your parents are very right. I hope you can get things turned around...good luck!
