Thought of food making my stomach churn - January 27th 2009, 06:49 AM

Okay, I'm not going to say I have an eating disorder because I honestly don't know. but here seems like the best place to put this.

Okay, whenever I think of food I want to throw up, but at the same time I'm hellishly hungry, so there's this battle going on in my stomach between the gag reflex and the need to eat.

What I want to ask is that is there anyway I can fool my body into eating without throwing up.
I've came close twice in the past couple of days, and I really, really donno how to handle this.

So any tips on being able to eat while these thoughts of being repulsed by food are going on would be helpful.

Thank you =]

Well, you could try to grab some food real quick then sit dow nin front of the tv or the computer and distract yourself while you eat. That way your mind doesn't exactly register that you're eating. I've had to do that before lol.

Yeah, try distracting yourself when you grab something to eat.

And toast is really good for that. Try some toast. It's not much but if you eat that throughout the day usually by the next day you're able to eat at least a meal.
