I watched a few of the videos, which actually made me cry!

Their words and experiences really helps to put things in perspective. I think this is a great idea.

So you have gray hair and you're only 26

that's just another reason I love you...

Re: Positive books, songs, quotes, and more for ED Recovery! - November 16th 2011, 04:23 AM

Okay, this one might seem weird, but hear me out: I'm really inspired for recovery when I listen to "Jar of Hearts" by Christina Perri. Even if it's about a past relationship, I really see it as my past relationship as food, the way it's trying to come back in my life, and how I'm stronger than it. You probably all think I'm going mad, hahaha. But I use it to cheer me up.

GAH I WRITE ON HERE TOO MUCH. Anyway, I found something really cool guys!

I hate to be advertising, please don't block me guys, but I found an app called Recovery Record for smart phones. Basically, it's an app that helps you keep track of your eating disorder recovery! It reminds you to eat and it rewards you when you are reaching your goals and treating yourself well. I sadly do not have a smartphone, but this does very well inspire me to get one. I just thought it would be cool for anybody interested.

Recovery App for android and IPhone users - January 17th 2012, 11:07 PM

There's an Eating Disorder Recovery app for the android and IOS devices called Recovery Record. You are able to log meals, write thoughts/feelings, pair up with other recovery record users, and so much more. If you live in the US or Aus, then you get an reward *not sure for android users* but I know for the people with IOS devices, you can get rewards from the app store for being active and logging meals. They also have very good coping tactics and reflections. It's worth a look.

You are beautiful just the way you are.
Looking like a fallen star.
Don't listen to what people say.
They don't know the real you, anyways.

Triggering:
This is an amazing video of Demi Lovato's struggles during her recovery. She does talk about SH and her Eating Disorder, along with her mental illness that lead her there, so I have labeled it as triggering just in case, but it is a very positive and inspiring video.

^I watched the Demi special last night on MTV and I was bawling my eyes out because I just love her so much. She's such an inspiration and she's saved my life so many times. I'm glad you've shared this with other people.

http://thedailyray.tumblr.com/ <This website. (Haven't thoroughly searched through it, so possibly triggering, but very very motivational and pro recovery)

This one is for you.
For the life you claimed
From behind my eyes
I'm claiming it back
To let you know how good it felt the day I realised the power to fight was in me.
To let you know that I ate breakfast today- and I enjoyed it.
To let you know that every day is a struggle. But I will never give up
To tell you I am winning
This moment is for you
For you to hear me when I say
That the only thing that was ever ugly about me, was you.

Body Gossip videos on YouTube. I did originally find them through this thread, but I'm linking another video from them that I found really inspirational: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHfkX...feature=relmfu

Could possibly be triggering. But it made me cry & gave me strength

Smile Break Free Of The Comparison Game - May 3rd 2012, 05:13 PM

I am loving this website, it has amazing articles on stuff about ED's.
This new article I love, it's about 5 ways to break free of the comparison game, getting ready for summer and not comparing yourself to others!

Take a look:
http://proud2bme.org/content/5-ways-...omparison-game

And remember to try not to compare your body to other peoples'.
(Easier said than done, but I'm gonna work on this, and hopefully you guys are up for it too. )
