Summer. ): - June 20th 2010, 10:22 PM

Although summer is one of the most enjoyable seasons, don't you just hate how it brings such a huge pressure to look your best? For me, summer is the easiest time to get away with my eating habits, esp. this year when I have no friends looking out for me. That little vioce in the back of my head is telling me to be careful this year. Soooo..

I was wondering if anyone else experiences the same feelings towards summer? How did/do you deal with all the seasonal stresses?

How do you ignore your ED vioce when its at its loudest? ):

You will come to realize that what appears today to be a sacrafice will prove instead to be the greatest investment you ever made.

Hmmm. I know what you mean, but...I dunno. The busier I keep myself the less my ed rears its ugly head. I just try and eat when my friends eat so I know Im eating when I should.

You can't ignore your ed voice. You need to get into the right mind set, you've got to believe that you want to eat, that you want to get better. Listen to your friends, or just try talking to them about it. It's always easier opening up to a world full of strangers because they don't know a thing about you... However it's the people who care that can affect your decisions. Once you realize what you're doing isn't the place that you want to be in will be the time that you'll be able to OVERCOME your ed voice. 'Cause you can only ignore something for so long, Mikey. Yet you can overcome something forever.

yeah I know it, this year I have new friends who are actually worried about their looks (though they don't have EDs) I feel more pushed than any time before so I let my parents control my meals, otherwise it'd be chaotic :/

I have that problem too. It feels like during the winter you can cover up your inperfections, then summer comes and its like POW everyone is wearing shorts and bikinis, and I feel SO much pressure to lost weight.
It helps me to talk to someone and keep in my mind that not everyone is perfect, and hurting myself wont make me become perfect either.
I know its such a hard time, but we will get through it. <3

I lovee summer, But yeah i hate the fact that when it's hot, you obviously want to wear less clothes and layers... but seriously that puts so much pressure on me, it makes my ED even worse because I'm trying to lose weight so quickly, it's really hard for me but I guess I just have to remember that nobody's perfect :/

Your heart's tangled up in silence,
It's time to let go,
Feel the light,
I know it's easier to hide,
But you gotta let go,
Feel the light,
Let go and feel the light.
