Recovery for you. - July 12th 2010, 02:45 PM

My sister is recovering from anorexia and shes making a recovory book full of art. Im going to do her something in it, but im not sure what, so i was wondering of anyone had any ideas.

If you are in recovery what would mean alot to you for a family member to put in?

A letter,
photographs of happy times,
plans of things we could do together in the future

I had a recovery scrapbook too, really good thing to do (theraputic and distraction) and have for the future (when you're feeling unsteady with food)

Letters or pictures would be great.
Maybe throw in some operationbeautiful pictures. (:
I think that would be great (:

Anything with positive inspiration. Quotations, pictures, colour combinations - something that will help to remind her of the better things in life .
Sounds like a wonderful idea, by the way!

Pictures are good (Happy, healthy ones of course) And maybe encouraging quotes or little notes of encouragement with happy drawings of beauty...which have more to do with nature and that rather than appearance

Favorite song lyrics, words of encouragement, poetry, pretty pictures of herself doing fun things (swimming, hiking, shopping, etc.) - this is a great idea, btw!

A letter and then some pictures of the two of you having fun together and then add some artistic touches to it. Add colors etc.

Write her a letter about all the fun stuff you will be able to do together now that she is healthy.
