Unhappy Can't break free - January 8th 2009, 05:34 PM

So, I'm back at work after having being off for weeks, thanks to my dumb dr stating I was unfit to work and signing me off sick
Now I've been back 3 days and this afternoon I had to see my dr for a check up. I'd tanked to increse my weight because I knew he was going to weigh me and I've done crap at following any part of my mp. I got to the dr's, he checked my weight and my blood pressure, which was low but I didn't think it was anything to worry about, but just when I thought the app was over he decided to do a random blood sugar test Needless to say my levels really low and that with my low bp he said that he thinks my weight is lower than the scales said and if things haven't improved by the time I next see him he can't allow me to continue to work
I have to get some bloods done at the lab tomorrow morning and see him again in a week but I think he's totally over reacting about the work issue because I feel ok. I love my job and can't keep having time off when I don't feel ill. Grrr
Rant over!

I'm sorry. I know, everything sucks at the moment. I think he just wants you to get better and is worried about you. This is most likely the only way he knows how to help you and force you to change your habits. I don't think he truley understands how difficult it could be. I think you should try to talk to him and tell him what you said at the end of your post. That you love your job and do not want to take off, when you know you can perform your task. I think he does mean well, he just doesn't know how to get around it the right way. I think open communication is key to the problem. I hope everything works out for you.

Jess,

I'm sorry that things aren't going well for you right now. I Wish there was an easy way for all of us to break free, but there isn't. Maybe try following some of your MP? It might help you get to be able to work faster? Idk. If you ever need to talk, feel free to PM me or add me on msn.
